Let this cup pass
Jesus prayed to His Father, “Father, if You are willing (if
it is possible), remove this cup from Me, yet not My will, but Yours be done.”
Sometimes God doesn’t move the mountains we need Him to move. Sometimes He
doesn’t part the waters we wish we could walk through. Sometimes He doesn’t
remove the cup we don’t want to drink. My prayers echo Jesus'. I cry. I pray. I plead. Let this pass.
Ultimately: Not MY will, but YOURS be done. If Jesus can say that…the one who suffered the most. The one who was completely innocent and suffering for my sins, then I can say that.
